Miss T, Nearly 16 months...

I keep thinking about how I'm totally lame for not posting more often... I decided I just need to post when I'm thinking about it.  So I've been thinking how I need to document all the silly fun things that T does right now because you never know when that will end... like how she used to cover her ears every time you asked her what the giraffe says.  It says "me so tall" at our house.

She's growing up so fast it's hard to get a handle on it.  Seems like every day she has a new word or two and she does something funny every day!  Today she was feeding her baby doll at the little Mexican restaurant that we like to walk to from our house.  She was not interested in eating.  There were pumpkins outside the grocery store right next door.  T had a riot of a time running around the piles of pumpkins and beating them like drums.  I think she love the ones she could pick up best; she went back to them a few times.

Tonight for dinner we had leftover chili, which oddly enough she LOVED!  She loved it so much it was all over her.  Bath time was mandatory tonight.  Usually when she gets to take a bath it takes me forever to get her out but tonight she asked to get out.  I think it had something to do with me playing with the shower curtain just to see what her reaction would be; not a fan as it turns out.  Our little miss loves to be the only one/thing making the big noises, otherwise she gets sad.

For documentation's sake here are the words she's said so far:
Momma, Daddy, blanket, no, night night, bath, water, brush, wash, shoes, socks, slide, blocks, apple, lion, moo, dog, nummy, please, thank you, more, cracker, go, walk, ball, fish, bowl, pancake, up, out.

(she knows monkey sounds, dog sounds, & elephant sounds... she also imitates our cadence when we count for her.)

As it is football season we'll be working on ducks, cougars, touchdown... and things like this.

Marching on...

March 2014:  Our family has been been waiting for so long to hear what's next for us vocationally and geographically speaking.  A couple weeks ago we finally heard! We're staying where we are and we've been shopping for a house.  Last week we put an offer in on a house, it was accepted, and now we're just waiting for the details to get settled.

In other news... T got her 3rd tooth today; top left.

We have so much to look forward to! Plus there's going to be a whole lot of before and after pictures happening...!
Kurt's office before... 2 flavors of peptol ... not condusive for work.

T's room before... if only she were a tiny Sea Hawks fan.

Our new kitchen.. needs some love but it's a great size for us!

The hideous half bath.. that's not wood on the walls, it's wall paper.

The Laundry Room... hadn't been painted in nearly 20 years... it needed lots of love.

Our bedroom mid paint job... that was one coat! Isn't that awesome!? We're painting it the white looking color, which is actually a very light grey.  I love the new color.  That hunter green is so very 90's and while I still love the music the styles can stay in the past for me and that would be just fine!

Floors before plus the built in and fireplace in the family room... just off the kichen.

Best day EVER!

Teegan laughed her first 8/15.  It was just one and she didn't laugh again for weeks... It was killing me! We were both doing the stupidest things trying to get her to laugh again... I bet you wish you were getting a video of that!...While that would be pretty funny, I didn't take video of this.  The other day this happened:

I was so thrilled!  It was the first time she did that... well, the first time I felt like I had any control of it.  She still has to be in the right mood for it, but I found a ticklish spot and I test it often now.  This is one of my favorite sounds in the whole world.

Awesome August

August was fun.. first smiles, noticing teeth starting to show...our first little road trip.
On a not fun note our first cold too.
First shopping trip... trying on the cute new dress.
Blowing bubbles and wriggling in the bouncy chair.
Getting ready to hang by the pool with friends.
 Slept the whole time.
 Modeling cute stuff.
I was trying to capture the wrinkly forehead.  I love it so much!
Getting really good at tummy time. Thank you Great Grandma T for the blanket.
 Baby & me.
T got some new bling... I think she likes it.
Entertained in the car. Star and Dolly are her favorite toys right now.
View from our room in Branson... you know, Redneck Vegas.  It's actually very pretty there and there's lots for families to do together. Glad we got to do it.
Tasting some watermelon. I think she liked it.
Showing off her bling, dress, and jellies... So cute!
She didn't feel very good & she needed a nap but she was still smiling.

Our Sweet July

First real smiles right before her grandparents came to visit.  It was so nice to have family visit and spend time with us.  We loved seeing our parents and sharing our sweet T with them. My only regret is that we didn't get pitcures of the grandparents with the baby!
Blessing day... she hated her dress.  It was worn by me on my blessing made out of scraps from my mom's wedding dress made by my grandma. I thought it was awesome.
2 month photo shoot
Finally sleeping after the scream-fest during her 2 month doctor appointment.
She finally figured out how to suck her thumb. It's odd but I was happy she finally did.
The struggling was making me crazy.
Wearing the custom onesie that I did... it wasn't the 4th any more but it was still July!
Sleeping through church.

A whirlwind of June

T was due in June, she just decided to drain her bathtub early... This was my super fast learning curve month.  She learned to sleep more, and I learned how to set her down a little more.

This is me putting her down for a bit... or not.

She still puts her hands like this sometimes
 Attempting tummy time

Her first bottle... which she refuses to take now.

Sweet Baby T in May

Waiting patiently for our baby.  Thank you Jeannette for taking pictures for us!
The stormy day we met baby T. She only cried when she got her shots. Other than that she seemed to enjoy just looking around.  She was very alert.
 Her first bath at home.

Fun outdoor photo shoot. Still can't believe she's mine!
Modeling her going home from the hospital dress.
These were nearly sleepless nights.  It was hard for me to set her down.
